Is it food or was it made in a factory?

If you want to build robust health and vitality, here is a simple concept to follow: eat real food.

By 'real food’, we mean stuff from the land or ocean.

Not from the factories of Nestlé or Kellogg.

Real food is more sophisticated than factory ‘food’

Proper nutrition comes from animal, plant and fungi foods (but mainly animal foods) that have been cared for whilst alive, then minimally-processed (but properly prepared), en route to your plate.

From labs and factories we get lifeless calories, that have been ‘fortified’ with a sprinkling of synthetic vitamins and minerals.

Take honey, for example.

Honey is made by bees. Bees have been perfecting their recipes for honey, propolis, royal jelly and pollen for around 125 million years. Each of these foods contains hundreds of components, many of which are yet to be identified by modern science. H…

Honey is made by bees. Bees have been perfecting their recipes for honey, propolis, royal jelly and pollen for around 125 million years. Each of these foods contains hundreds of components, many of which are yet to be identified by modern science. Humans, clever though we may be, simply cannot reproduce substitutes for such biologically-complex foods, like honey and human breast milk, in our labs and factories.

While bees are busy making incredibly complex, sophisticated things, like honey—which has profound nutritional and medicinal qualities—corporations run by modern humans are putting toxic ingredients into your ‘food’, and then promoting it (and the synthetic vitamins they added) as a ‘healthy’ option for you and your children.

They took the nutrition out, so they have to inject it back in

At that point, it’s not really food, it’s ‘food-like substances’ as Michael Pollan says.

It is the height of ignorance to think that we can ‘recreate’ deep nutrition in factories.

As you know, food made by Nature is infinitely complex.

Packaging up ‘macros’, and adding a sprinkling of zinc or synthetic vitamins simply isn’t good enough.

For our purposes, and for the stuff that you eat to be considered food, we think it needs to offer more than calories and cheap mouth pleasure

Words are cheap

Building healthy, robust and chronic-disease-free humans requires a deeper understanding of nutrition than what modern food packaging laws would have you believe.

It’s more complicated than that.

All you need to know to get started, however, is that eating real food is the key.

It’s the best disease-protecting, immune-boosting, performance-enhancing, body-fat-reducing diet you’ll ever find.

And if you understand how to cook and prepare all this real food, life gets even better.
