Fats & oils

Banish any cheap, flavourless, omega-6 rich vegetable & seed oils from your kitchen.

They are more like poison than food.

And let’s slow down on plant fats, in general.

We have much better, more nutritious options.

Like tallow, ghee and butter.

Animal fats are ideal sources of essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.

They keep us satiated long after meals, and our metabolism running hot.

Humans actually need these fats in order to remain healthy; many nutrients, like the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E & K, and the omega-3s, like DHA & EPA, are only found in animal fats.

I use olive oil occasionally for salads, and sauces, like chimichurri.

And sometimes we use coconut oil for a curry.

But our main priority, like our ancestors, is always high-quality animal fat, that are rich in bioavailable nutrients.
